The game between Avangard and Salavat Yulaev is canceled

The League has canceled the game between Avangard and Salavat Yulaev, scheduled for January 12, 2022. As stated in the official statement published on the website of the League:

«On Monday, Jan 10, an operational meeting with the participation of the League’s board was held with the scope to regulate the further continuation of the 2021-2022 regular season.

During the meeting, the League decided to cancel the #579 game between Avangard and Salavat Yulaev, scheduled for Jan 12, due to the 26 Covid-19 positive tests within the Ufa club (20 players, 5 coaches, and one representative). The League will follow with a final decision about the game later, just like in other recent cases.

Games involving clubs where there is a threat of mass infection will be cancelled (with a final decision coming on a later date), while the teams where the epidemiological situation is stable, will continue to play.

On Tuesday, Jan 11, 2022, the League will hold a meeting with KHL clubs about the epidemiological situation and scenarios for the end of the regular season and the playoffs».
