Avangard signs Igor Geraskin

Avangard Hockey club has signed forward Igor Geraskin to a four-year contract. Geraskin was traded to our club by Severstal. Last season, Geraskin played 73 games for Severstal and scored 48 (14+34) points.

- 24-year-old Geraskin has approved himself in the KHL, last season he was only two points away from notching 50 points. He is agile, mobile, has a nose for the net and a high order of game intelligence, which helps Igor perform really well. He is a versatile forward, able to play either center or wing. We have signed a young talented to a long-term contract, which is very important in terms of building a team not only for the new season, but also for several years to come.

Geraskin will be wearing number 89 in Avangard.
