Avangard Hockey Club
Avangard is a professional hockey club from Omsk competing in the Kontinental Hockey League. The club was founded on November 7, 1950 and was named Spartak (1950-1962), Aeroflot (1962-1967), Kauchuk (1967-1972), Khimik (1972-1974), Shinnik (1974-1981). Since 1981, it is officially called Avangard.
