Avangard HC Board of Directors meeting outcome
On December 21, Avangard HC Board of Directors meeting was held in Omsk.
The central issue was the approval of the club’s development strategy through to 2027. The Board Members heard Avangard General Director German Chistyakov’s statement and voted unanimously for proposed strategic initiatives.
The strategy lays the principles for the long-term development of the first team, the document clearly defines approaches to roster construction, including interaction with all club affiliates. Careful attention was paid to the Academy, the development plan of which was presented by Head of Avangard Hockey Academy Kirill Alexeyev. Emphasis is placed on improving the educative process and preparing trainees to playing for the first team.
A number of initiatives are also envisaged to increase the club’s fan base, create additional content and services, as well as further fulfillment of G-Drive Arena potential – both on game days and by means of non-hockey events. Target parameters for the growth of commercial income and marketing metrics have been adopted. HR-brand reinforcement program will be introduced to create better conditions for attracting highly-qualified personnel to the club.
Financial outcome for the year and the status of business plan implementation were also considered at the Board of Directors meeting. Alongside this, General Manager Anton Kuryanov presented the development program for coaches of the club’s hockey teams, including the VHL and JHL teams.
