Avangard signs Vladimir Tkachyov to five-year contract

Avangard Hockey Club has signed forward Vladimir Tkachyov to a five-year contract valid until May 31, 2029.

Last season, Tkachyov played 70 games for our club, scored 86 (20+66) points and was plus-12.

German Chistyakov, Avangard HC General Director:

- Vladimir Tkachyov has proven to be a true leader of our team, both in terms of points earned and the team spirit, he delighted our fans with his spectacular performance. Of course, the club had and still has the desire to keep our leader for a long time, because it is extremely important for the further development of the club as a system. Signing of a player like Tkachyov, an Omsk alumnus, is a good example of growth and success for all the trainees of our Academy. As as an Omsk native, whose son was also born here, Vladimir did have a desire to stay with Avangard. That is why it didn’t take us long to come to an agreement. I hasten to inform our fans, who, I believe, had some concerns the day before: Tkachyov is with us for another five years. We have finally closed the topic of Vladimir leaving for North America. He really wants to win the Gagarin Cup wearing the Avangard jersey and will do everything possible for it to happen. We are glad that we have strengthened our core team for several years to come. We keep preparing for the upcoming season.
