Libor Sulak joins Avangard!

Avangard Hockey Club has signed Czech defenseman Libor Sulak to a two-year contract.

Last season, Sulak played 79 games for Admiral, scored 42 (15+27) points and had +10.

Anton Kuryanov, Avangard General Manager:

– Our team needs a power-play defenseman who has a good shot and is able to find a teammate with a pass. Signing Sulak should solve this problem. Last season, Libor was a real leader of Admiral, he scored key goals, motivated players both on the ice and in the locker room. There were no available players with a Russian passport for this position on the market, so Sulak will become the third import in Avangard for this key position.

Sulak will be wearing number 73 in Avangard.

Avangard has also made a trade with Severstal. Defenseman Timofei Davydov joins the Cherepovets club, while 21-year-old forward Dmitry Solovyov comes to Omsk (a two-way contract).

Last season, Solovyov was sent to VHL team Buran, played 27 games and sored 12 (7+5) points.
