German Chistyakov: We will do everything possible to ensure that the team shows decent results

Avangard HC General Director German Chistyakov gave a comment on team’s performance in late September:

– The latest four games were extremely tough for our team. Narrow defeats, lopsided losses – obviously, it is not the type of Avangard that we all want to see.

Together with the General Manager, coaching staff and players, we are now trying to understand the reasons of what has happened and find ways to improve this situation. We understand that many new players joined the team in the offseason, and it will take time for things to work out as they should. And at the same time, today it is obvious that everyone needs to draw certain conclusions on many aspects. This includes preparation for games, tactics, and commitment on the ice. We understand that fans are not satisfied with suchlike performance, and we will do everything possible to ensure that the team shows decent results.

I would like to thank everyone who supports Avangard during these difficult times, it is particularly valuable now. Only together we can overcome everything, that’s the only way things work in sports. We will keep working hard, we will be back in the swing – due to character, due to skills, due to the desire to win.
