Omskie Krylya coaching change

Ramil Saifullin has been named interim head coach of VHL team Omskie Krylya. Vladimir Filatov will serve as assistant head coach.

Anton Kuryanov, Avangard General Manager:

- Omskie Krylya got off to a rocky start this season, they only won 2 games out of 12, have 7 points and occupy the last place in the VHL standings. At the same time, it cannot be said that the team was bad – something was missing at the most crucial moment, and the result slipped through their fingers. In order to strengthen the coaching staff, we decided to move Ramil Saifullin from Avangard to Omskie Krylya to serve as interim head coach. Saifullin has experience of working in the in the VHL, when he coached Izhstal, the team played high-quality hockey, and we expect that this experience proves useful to Omskie Krylya this season. What team needs is to regroup, find their fire and turn the corner. We thank Ramil Saifullin for his willingness to help in this tough situation.
