Forward Vyacheslav Malov loaned to Torpedo
Avangard Hockey Club has entered into an agreement with Torpedo Hockey Club on loaning out forward Vyacheslav Malov until the end of the current season.
Anton Kuryanov, Avangard General Manager:
- We pay close attention to the development of our young players. Vyacheslav Malov has already outgrown the JHL and is able to take a step further than the VHL, but it is still difficult for him to earn an Avangard roster spot. In a situation like this, we look for options to ensure that our trainees fulfil their potential to the maximum. In Torpedo Slava will have a chance to prove himself at the KHL level, we are well aware of how the Nizhny Novgorod club works with young players. Of course, everything depends largely on the player himself, we have no doubt that he will do his best to take advantage of this opportunity. And in May we expect him to return to our team as a forward having experience of playing at the highest level.
As you know, there already have been other cases of our successful cooperation with Torpedo. A short while ago we took goalie Lorens Zinaddin on loan. This is probably the first mutually beneficial temporary exchange of young talents in the history of the League. The Nizhny Novgorod club does not have its VHL affiliate, while our club actively uses young players born in 2002-2006 in that league. And the young goalie can push on to the next level there.
We will maintain cooperation with Torpedo, perhaps more transfers are yet to come.
